Kreel Creative was selected by Bosa Developments to design a series of luxury suites in the famous Fairmont Empress Hotel, in Victoria, BC, to be marketed as “The Coastal Suites”, ranging from 1,400 to 2,500 sq. ft.
The first phase of the project required the adaptation of a 2,500 sq. ft. common area lounge – the Fairmont Empress Gold Lounge – into a new luxury ‘Royal’ suite.
This involved all aspects of hospitality design from concept development to presentation of West Coast specific concepts to the hotel’s ownership and The Fairmont Group. The design inspiration for the suite was rooted in the idea of a global traveller, collecting pieces over the course of their lifetime to furnish their home, a harmonious combination of historic and contemporary items from around the world.
Kreel Creative’s scope on this project included all space programming, all construction documentation, lighting design and all furniture, fixtures and finishes. We have also completed F.F. & E. specification documents for multiple additional suites.
